Rushcutter II - Sailing from Port of Melbourne to Sydney - 750nm
10th to 20th of December 2019

Live-tracking of our trip from Melbourne to Sydney  🙂

We are sailing from Port of Melbourne via Bass Strait and Tasman Sea to Sydney. That’s roughly 750nm with a bit of tacking that is. Below is the live AIS position of the Rushcutter II a beautiful Hillier Peterson 46

Passage Plan: RMYS, St.Kilda – QCYC, Queenscliff – Cats Bay, Phillip Island – Refuge Cove, Wilson Prom – Eden – Batemans Bay – Jervis Bay – Sydney Harbour

This is the live AIS position of the Rushcutter II and shows the current position as well as the previous 24h track.

We will be posting trip updates with some photos as we go along (Mobile phone reception permitting) This should work as long as we are in costal areas or at anchorage. Photos are automatically tagged to the GPS location where they were taken and should provide a nice trip update. If you are watching this on a phone screen you can toggle between photos and map points.

Rushcutter II is a Hillier Peterson 46, also known as Spindrift 46. As the name says it is a 46 feet long cutter rig sloop with a 3.91m beam and nearly 14tons displacement.
